Post GFC tens of thousands of retirees had their superannuation savings devastated. In a very tough market for investment companies, this campaign for 303Lowe for their client Challenger empathised with retirees and highlighted the risks of heavily investing in the share market vs their more conservative, but safer annuities product.
The campaign was voted Money Management’s best Advertising Campaign for the year and won a Silver Effie (Australian Effectiveness Awards) in Financial Services.
Annuity sales grew by a record 56 per cent and there was a 180% increase in advisers choosing Challenger as a retirement income provider.
We brought to life the real-life experiences of Australian retirees hit hard by the GFC.
